Longi just shattered its own world record. Its new tandem solar cell hit 33.89% efficiency. That beats the previous record. It also beats the theoretical limit for standard silicon cells.
The company is now the global leader in tandem tech. These cells stack perovskite on top of silicon. They capture more sunlight. Longi says it validated the result with Germany's ISFH institute.
This isn't just a lab trick. Longi plans to mass produce these cells. The target is 2025. The goal is to push efficiency past 30% in real-world panels. That would be a game changer for solar power.
